Designers – it is all anyone can think about in this day and age. However, each has proven that their collection is the one to wear and most of us will agree. I will now draw up a list of the top Middle Eastern designers:
1. Elie Saab – He is currently one of the top Middle Eastern designers. He does not just cater for his homeland but has expanded his collection of bejeweled ball gowns and lovely formal wear to fashion capital Milan. Hollywood stars such has Halle Berry have also showed off his designs at awards shows etc.
2. Next in line is Abed Mahfouz. He has managed to incorporate the Arab culture in many of his designs, making them look contemporary yet close to home. His latest Fall/ Winter Collection 2010 to 2011 is the one to check out!
3. Walid Atallah – Young but capable of course, his designs are the latest thing in ball gowns and wedding wear. He has effectively produced some lovely Arab designed clothes and has also ranged them in places such as the New York Fashion Week.
